End Time Trinity Poisoned Wine Brews in Satan’s Winery

Who is Satan?

Satan, sometimes called the Devil, is the “great enemy of man and of goodness.” As Lucifer, he was the chief angel, the most beautiful creature God ever created. “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee” (Ezekiel 28:14-15). Satan had beauty and position until  pride entered his spirit.

Satan yearned to be greater than God. “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon; I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:13-14, NIV). He possessed authority,  power, and prestige,  but he lost favor with God. Satan knew he had to be very clever in order to retrieve his former position of power.

Satan is an unholy spirit. He entices the flesh of men to sin by planting evil thoughts, words, plans, and unbelief in their minds and hearts. He deceived Eve through a serpent (Genesis 3), persuaded the Israelites to mold a golden god they could see (Exodus 32), and enticed Judas to betray Jesus to the chief priests of Israel (Luke 22:3). “For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12, NIV). Satan can transform himself into an “apostle of Christ,” appearing as an “angel of light” and his ministers can transform into ministers of righteousness (II Corinthians 11:14). Paul said, “Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8-9). Satan is a spirit that speaks and rules through human beings and earthly kings.

Poisoned Wine Brews in Satan’s Winery

Poisoned wine has been brewing in Satan’s winery ever since Jesus’ birth. Satan was puzzled when Jesus was born.“Why would God humble himself by coming to earth in the flesh body of a baby?” Satan had expected Him to come in power and glory to rule the earth. He didn’t know God came in flesh to shed his blood for the sins of the world (I John 3:16). He had been preparing for a fight. Satan was now confident that his poisoned wine would distort Jesus’ identity.

From its beginning, Satan lusted after the earth that God created. He loves the earth and frequently walks upon it. In Job 1:7, he said he had come “from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” Peter said Satanwalked about” like a lion “seeking whom he may devour” (I Peter 5:8). Satan’s lust for the earth was so great that he fearlessly challenged Jesus in the wilderness.

Jesus hadn’t performed any miracles yet, so Satan thought he could tempt Him into sipping his wine. Jesus was flesh and all flesh has sinned (Romans 3:23). However, Jesus wasn’t fooled by Satan’s threatening words “If thou be the Son of God” because He knew His destiny and overcame His fear of the cross. In each answer, Jesus told Satan He was God, Lord of the Old Testament (Matthew 4:3-10). His answers reveal that He perceived Satan’s plan to brew poisoned wine but preventing it would have wipped out salvation. However, now Satan knew that Jesus wouldn’t sip his poisoned wine because God dwelled in Him.

Satan began to panic because he knew the Jews were looking for Messiah, but he persuaded the Jews to reject Jesus.  The Jews became so intoxicated on Satan’s wine, they picked up rocks to stone Jesus when He claimed to be God (John 10:31-33). After Satan stirred up the Jews to crucify Jesus, he thought he had gotten rid of Him until Jesus rose from the dead. Then Satan knew that if the future generations of the world didn’t drink his poisoned wine, they would accept Jesus as God and Savior and he would lose his beloved earth.

Poisoned Wine of the Trinity Dupes the People of the Earth

Satan’s  poisoned wine of the Trinity successfully duped the people of Paul’s time because they didn’t know their God. The Jews chased Paul out of the synagogues and mobs tried to kill him because he preached that Jesus was God, Yahweh, the I AM  in the Old Testament (Exodus 3:14). In Acts 14:2-4, Luke said the city was divided, assaulting and throwing stones at each other. Paul and Barnabas split up because they had such a squabble (Acts 15). In Lydia, a multitude rose up and beat Paul and Silas and threw them in prison (Acts 16). In Thessalonica, Paul and Silas were ushered away by night because the Jews caused such uproar (Acts 17). When Paul was gaining believers at Ephesus, Satan hardened their hearts (Acts 19:8-9). Then Satan riled up the seamen to kill Paul, after Paul had saved their lives by keeping them in the boat Acts 21. Paul suffered many hardships because Satan duped the people  with poisoned wine (II Corinthians 11:24-27).

Satan’s lust for the earth never wanes. Neither does his determination to control the people of the earth. His seductive wine continues to creep over the earth, delivering its paralyzing stings of death.

Satan created the Holy Roman Empire with plans to rule the earth. Biblical prophecy says Satan will rule the end-time government through the Antichrist. During this time he will try to eradicate Jesus’ name from the earth. A sneering smile crosses Satan’s face whenever he thinks about the people worshipping him instead of Jesus. Satan continually brews his Trinity doctrine, adjusting the formula as needed to intoxicate all the nations of the world.
