Poisoned Wine Created the Holy Roman Empire to Rule the End Time World Government

Biblical Prophecy Reveals the Holy Roman Empire

Biblical Prophecy reveals the Holy Roman Empire as the end time government. King Nebuchadnezzar had a nightmare that he couldn’t remember (Daniel 2:1) and it troubled him. He called the magicians, astrologers, sorcerers, and Chaldeans, but none could reveal his nightmare. However, God gave Daniel the revelation and interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream (Daniel 2:31-43). A huge bright image with a golden head, silver breast and arms, brass belly and thighs, iron legs, and iron and clay feet with ten toes, loomed in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. These distinguishing body parts represented the five world empires that would rule over the earth. They were the Babylonian Empire (golden head), the Medes and the Persians (silver breast and arms), the Grecian Empire (brass belly and thighs), the Roman Empire (iron legs), and the Holy Roman Empire (iron and clay feet with ten toes). The Roman Empire (iron) and the Catholic Church (clay) will form the Holy Roman Empire. (Irvin Baxter, Understanding the End Time, rev. ed., 1999, Lesson 5: “Holy Roman Empire-Revived”)

The Holy Roman Empire holds special interest because it’s destined to rule the End Time world government. However, the Roman Empire and the Roman Catholic Church will not “cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay” (Daniel 2:43). Clay is weaker than iron, inferring the Roman Catholic Church as weaker than the Roman Empire. The leaders of the Holy Roman Empire would be in constant turmoil.

Poisoned Wine Created the End Time Holy Roman Empire

Pope Leo and Charlemagne made an unholy alliance to create the Holy Roman Empire. After Constantine’s death (AD 337), the Empire was divided into the Eastern and Western empires because they disagreed on Church doctrines. In AD 476, the Roman Empire was abolished, but certain elements of the Catholic Church survived. When the Western German Empire became very powerful, Pope Leo III yearned for the protection of its army and Charlemagne, the German king, longed for the prestige of the Christian church. After Pope Leo and Charlemagne agreed that united they could better accomplish their goals, they created the Holy Roman Empire.

In 800 AD, Pope Leo III created the Holy Roman Empire by crowning the German king, Charlemagne, Roman Emperor. According to their pact, the pope, leader over spiritual matters, became supreme ruler and the Roman emperor became the temporal ruler. However, the emperors and popes continually struggled for supremacy and several times one deposed the other. As inferred by the iron and clay in Nebuchadnezzar’s nightmare, the leaders of the Holy Roman Empire were in constant turmoil.

The Holy Roman Empire “was a deliberate attempt to re-create in Europe the unity, the stability, and the culture of Rome under a new, Christian God” (Jack Holland, and John Monroe, Imperial Visions, the Rise and Fall of Empires). This Empire became even more powerful than the old Roman Empire. All were required to live within the territories of the Catholic Church, and those who strayed from the Trinity were condemned and banished or excommunicated as heretics and sent to prison or burned at the stake. The Holy Roman Empire was a religious and political empire that yearned to rule the world.

Persecution within the Holy Roman Empire surpassed that of the former Roman Catholic Church. Toward the end of the eleventh century, the popes and councils of the Roman Catholic Church undertook the Crusades in an effort to retake the Holy Land from the Muslims. Eventually, the aim of the crusade “was altered to crush all spiritual opposition within Europe itself [as] armies were raised with the intent of massacring whole communities of Bible believing Christians” (Arthur Maricle, “The Inquisition: A Study in Absolute Catholic Power” -accessed January 11, 2001). The Trinitarian dogma survived in part because the armies of the Holy Roman Empire massacred or banished all Christians and communities that opposed the Trinity.

In 1233, persecution worsened when the Holy Roman Empire established inquisitions to detect and punish heresy. The papal inquisition usually employed imprisonment and judicial torture but rarely condemned prisoners to burn. However, the Spanish Inquisition, established in 1478 by the Spanish monarchs to punish the Jews and Muslims whom they thought were insincere in their conversion, were “notoriously harsher than the medieval Inquisition and much freer with the death penalty.” (The Concise Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, 3rd ed. (1994), “Inquisition.”) Most non-Trinitarian Christians couldn’t survive in the face of such domineering and severe persecution. Finally, the tyranny forced a religious revolution called the Reformation. As people became better educated, they challenged the Catholic doctrines and demanded change that led to the freedom of dissent. However, most early dissenters that stepped out in rebellion adhered to the Catholic Trinitarian doctrine. The popes of the Catholic Church could not continually retain their sovereignty over the ambitious Roman emperors. In 1806, the Holy Roman Empire was suspended when King Francis II renounced the imperial title.

The Holy Roman Empire Will Rule the End Time Government

However, the Holy Roman Empire will be revived to rule the End Time one-world government. This unholy union nearly fulfilled the dreams of the globalists of that time, so undoubtedly the same concepts would be used to revive the Empire. The Roman Catholic Church, a prime supporter of a one-world government, has carried on through the years, dabbling in all global affairs and crises. Even though the Roman Catholic Church was severely wounded by the loss of its Trinitarian daughter churches, it still claims all churches that practice the Trinitarian doctrine. The Trinitarian doctrine is by far the world’s most popular Christian doctrine and the pope remains the world’s greatest Christian leader. World leaders through Globalism and Catholicism consistently strive to bring about the revival of the Holy Roman Empire. The revived Holy Roman Empire will become the greatest world power ever to exist and as revealed in Nebuchadnezzar’s nightmare, will rule the end time one-world government in great turmoil.
